The charges stem from a St. Clair County investigation on Sept. 24, when deputies responded to a report of shots fired on NE 871 Rd. While responding, the deputies passed a vehicle matching the description given by the reporting party. When deputies tried to initiate a traffic stop, the vehicle fled. Once stopped, the driver, identified as Andrew Anderson, was placed in custody. A search of the vehicle resulted in the finding of a green leafy substance, believed to be marijuana and other drug paraphernalia. A check of the vehicle showed it was a stolen out of Springfield.
