The charges stem from an incident on May 2, 2017 when a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle Mullen was a passenger in on Highway D and North Center Road, Lowry City. During the investigation cellophane from a cigarette wrapper containing a crystalline residue that field tested positive for methamphetamine was located.  Mullen made admissions the residue belonged to him and also produced an unused syringe from his sock.
